“Becoming conscious of racism does not mean you are a racist.” – Auliq Ice

Black Lives Matter to me means just that, however I never thought in my life that this would be a critical predicament due to systematic racism as I always assumed we would have evolved by now. It is always extremely disheartening to see Black Lives taken due to either racism, fear, or lack of cultural and social sensitivity.

Generalizing withstanding, it tears man of us apart to feel like this, on one hand we respect police officers (the ones that are truly ethical and follow the rule-of-law) and without a doubt –‘Black Lives Matter’ – but on the other hand we loathe those who are racist, whether they are cops or not. Being racist is a form of hate towards another person that does not look, act or think like you. This is a very toxic state to say the least.

My Uncle was a police officer and to me a very important influence as he was wise and extremely compassionate. He and my mom were my role-model in many regards. I also have a few very good police officer friends as I have been to their homes to fix their computers in the past.

I do not negate that there are police officers that would rather be working with us, we-the-people than with their unethical co-workers. I know this as my uncle (was) and some of my friends are ethical good-hearted police officers.

“Stop trying to explore what is different about yourselves and explore the commonality you have instead.” – Réné Gaudette

I stand with the fact that Black Lives Not Only Matter, but are human beings that are more family than most and the fact that this is an issue at this time and age is an indication that we must evolve a little quicker in our humanity especially since we are experiencing a pandemic and are also in a Climate Emergency.

“Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won’t come in.” – Isaac Asimov

I can tell you that we need to unify with these particular ethical good officers as we need to come together and prepare for what is to come in terms of this Climate Emergency. It is a much bigger beast that require unity to face and tackle. This is obvious in some other countries as they are now dealing with the Climate Emergency effects in solidarity.

It is a necessity to work together with the Climate Warriors who include: Firemen, Nurses, Emergency Services, Teachers and Law-Enforcement. This is a crucial reality as the conditions worsen which in time all of us will have in equalized commonality. It behooves us to grow up quickly, receive psychological help if needed and focus our attention on the bigger monster in the room as in reality it dwarfs what you might perceive to be big (although it doesn’t belittle their circumstances).

Recently I was asked why I make such a big deal about Climate Change, and I replied that I could share with you in detail some of what is going to come our way, along with the fact that what we are experiencing now is in no way the worse it is going to get. As one scientist put it, 2020 might be the last coolest year we will experience in a long time unless we change, and 2020 was very hot if you get my drift. Not only that there is a specific list of what to expect as the situation worsens that is like something out of a horror movie. So listen to your gut (using your reasoning skills) and vote anyone and everyone (no matter what party) out of office that does not have as a priority tackling our current Climate Emergency.

“Some people will follow their minds without listening to their hearts, and others will follow their hearts without listening to their minds. This is why reason exists, for there to be balance between the heart and mind. We were not meant to follow the mind and ignore the heart. Instead, we were meant to follow the heart over the mind, but without completely abandoning logic. The middle way is the preferred way, and this path simply means to allow your heart to drive you, but do not forget to balance reason with your conscience.” – Suzy Kassem

As a Black Lives Matter call to action, I feel anger, pain and sorry however we must move forward and prepare, I simply sense that President Biden and Vice-President Harris will hasten mandatory police reforms which will include some new ethical measures. But we at this time and this level need to put down our weapons, hate and anything else that is destructive and see to it that our children have a planet that supports not only human beings but animal species. We also need to give our planet a break from destruction so that it can start healing with our help.

I sense if we focus on tackling the Climate Emergency at hand and start improving the planet together for our children’s sake then the more we can start working together instead of concentrating on our differences; the quicker we can seriously start transforming our humanity. We are in the same burning house together, let me pass you the hose or bucket instead of a weapon otherwise we will all get burnt.

The Book:

“Maturity is the ability to relate appropriately to other realities than one’s own.” – Swami Kriyananda

I mentioned this in a few other places as a suggestion, I strongly believe that anyone in any part of law-enforcement should be required to read this particular book as their training either two times a year or once every two years as needed. I share this out of sincerity as I know it to be a valid outcome. It will help strengthen ones empathy, helps move one to be more compassionate and most of all help heighten focus on the issue directly in front of you (no matter who or what).

At the same time it is a great read for anyone especially parents in that with it you can strengthen your children’s intuition of what to do under certain dangerous circumstances. How it can help train these police officers it also trains you the same.

The book is entitled: ‘JUST LISTEN’ – By Mark Goulston

Fighting the Climate Emergency:

I am also sharing this as a method or step in fighting our Climate Emergency as well. Please keep in mind that if some animals go extinct, we also go as there is a symbiotic connection, (I blogged this list at cCc).

“The greatest achievement of the human spirit is to live up to one’s opportunities and make the most of one’s resources.” – Vauvenargues, Marquis de

Politically all parties could be involved in the transition or rather giving life to the Green New Deal on both grassroots level and in government. However, with many Republicans and a few Democrats still catering to the fossil-fuel and unethical corporations, the future appears bleak.

Right now as it appears and as Marianne Williamson indicated, progressives are a homeless bunch in terms of a political party. Democrats (percentage) and Republican’s (larger percentage) are beholden to the very forces that are destroying the planet and its inhabitants. This has to change even if it means creating a new party that is ethical and considerate of our environment, which again impacts ourselves and our children’s future on this planet.

I understand there will soon be a new political party entitled ‘The People’s Party’ and they will be focused on those issues that we-the-people want. While that is in the works and to reiterate I am also learning that a movement around the planet is growing to go after (reject their products/basically boycott) investors, advertisers, small and large companies, wealthy individuals and their services, newspapers, mainstream media, department stores small and large, social media networks, banks, etc… that are not stepping up to the plate in terms of addressing this Climate Emergency.

They are saying we will not buy or support them in the least and financially they will see tremendous loss until they are part of the solution and not part of the problem. The writing is clearly on the wall as scientists, activists and our children have been warning us for some time now and still many have not awoken to any of this reality yet. We-the-people are the ones that call the shot so let us do just that starting with each and every election hence forward.

I can now see why we (unified action) are feared, however what must be feared is we-the-people uniting to vote out of office the incapable leadership that divides us, promotes fear, encourages violence, in the pocket of the corporations and industries, works for fossil-fuel, and are driving us from existence—this is what they (next paragraph) should fear. Enough of these politicians that are just looking out for their own self-interests, and you voters please do not get played by their empty ‘vote for me’ rhetoric, voting them out (every election) is the same as our firing them for doing a lousy job.

Mainstream media, large and small companies, politicians, advertisers, shareholders, investors, etc… if you are not actively working with us to keep us off the extinction list (fighting our Climate Emergency), as it now appears many are heightening the resolve that they will not buy your products, will not vote for you, will not watch your news station, and will not buy from your advertisers, etc… This reality is growing and the effects in time will be more than obvious.

Our children have been asking us for assistance for a few years now, this is the least we can do to support them. These children and many adults are now saying let us make corporations and the wealthy feel it in their pockets, especially those politicians that are catering to the fossil-fuel and other unethical corporations by removing them from their elected government seat.

It cannot be stressed enough, that the power of people’s spending habits and voting power will have a devastating financial and career-wise impact on anyone who prefers to work with those that are both implicit and/or the actual cause of our predicament.

“There is a better future for you! Get rid of that negative and defeated attitude. Stop tearing yourself down and learn to build yourself up. Speak positively about yourself. If you’re not satisfied with who you are and where you’re at in your life, have the courage to make a change and be a person that you can be proud of. Change can be scary, but change for the better is very rewarding in the end. You can do it! Do it for YOU.” – Stephanie Lahart

How to bring the ‘Green New Deal’ to a grass-roots level, please read what I share on this regarding we-the-people and our current Climate Emergency throughout climatechangecommunity.com.

“The greatest achievement of the human spirit is to live up to one’s opportunities and make the most of one’s resources.” – Vauvenargues, Marquis de

I am hopeful we can help give much more shape and substance to the Green New Deal on a grass-roots level! Ask anyone, even me, about the specifics of the Green New Deal, and you will have many different responses. Without quoting anything I have read so far about the Green New Deal, it for me could be looked at from another point of view.

Meaning the government has certain financial responsibilities, new policies, and various people-based executions that they must attend to regarding the Green New Deal, such as job creation, infrastructure upgrades, implementations, and more. This is a fact and these changes (all change is not bad) will result in immense economical and security laden vicissitudes, regardless what one might hear from those opposing view which are for the most part useless leaders in Washington that are at the behest of unethical capitalism and the fossil-fuel. Ask them what their plan(s) is/are and they will be hard pressed to provide it. This might happen no matter what country you are in implementing the Green New Deal I suppose.

What I sense we need is much more information (article and book excerpts) about the Green New Deal and United Nations SDGs and introduce some ideas of why and how the Green New Deal should be supported immediately at both the government and grassroots level. Um, if it doesn’t exist yet at the grassroots level, then great, let us create it.

“Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.” – United Nations, Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Everyone should have a part of the Green New Deal on a close personal level as it has to potential to be a kitchen, living and bed -room conversation at this point for all of us.

If we tackle this Climate Emergency using the Green New Deal unified world-wide as well as within our countries we will see are planet start to once again cool down by drawing down that excess CO2 and methane that are a result of corporation’s economic prosperity. It will not be easy due to our delays yet the longer we hesitate especially with our expediting renewable energy the more catastrophic the effects will be.

I tend to see the Green New Deal as layers of required or necessary policies, actions and ideas which everyone in one way or another are or could be a part of. These different levels/layers of the Green New Deal, are also inclusive of United Nations SDGs, they are all-encompassing of today’s issues and now also an essential necessity in fighting to keep us off the extinction list. (Remember; we are now in the age of necessity, where we no longer have a choice on certain actions to take.)

“We learn to become more empathic when we slow down, become present, and are fully committed to understanding another person’s uniqueness.” – Arthur P. Ciaramicoli

Food for thought: Fossil Fuels, coal and chemicals just kills’ life, think about it as comparable to giving our planet and all living species ‘Cancer’ at the same exact time. This is now a visible reality in our daily lives now.

Ever notice in areas where there is very little coal and oil use how green grows on the side of buildings, the people and environment are healthier and when fossil-fuels are used the people are sick and everything is polluted or gloomy; visible also is greasy grime and dirt which encroaches on the side of those buildings, again this is visible to the eyes.

One of the Green New Deal layers, let’s call it We-the-People layer would be the ‘Empathy and Compassion’ layer, as if we do not include the evolution of ‘Humanity’ we risk becoming barbaric instead of unified and working together. This is so important and requires self-transformation from each of us on a very essential level.

Placing financial gain over the continuation of humanity is basically an action which for those in power or rich will eventually see their wealth become worthless as the basics of life (like water and shelter for example) becomes more valuable.

One simply cannot be financially well-off on a dying planet with humanity facing extinction. It is impossible.

“Our bodies have five senses: touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing. But not to be overlooked are the senses of our souls: intuition, peace, foresight, trust, empathy. The differences between people lie in their use of these senses; most people don’t know anything about the inner senses while a few people rely on them just as they rely on their physical senses, and in fact probably even more.” – C. JoyBell C.

Lastly, do you notice that the IPCC and Scientist tend to be very conservative in their reporting no matter how severe it is? I am sure that we have less time than indicated only because history in terms of this Climate Crisis dispels this. Their replies a few months later always reveals that; ‘it’s happening much faster than we anticipated – always.

This is why we must be pro-active on a much quicker pace, hence acting from necessity. Along with this fact is that, not only should the Fossil Fuel industry answer for this but those implicit such as the mainstream media, useless politicians, the fossil-fuel minions/hired-hands, and other perpetrators. What is happening to us, animal species, and the planet (nature) is a clear crime against humanity.

“Restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions. It is the one un-American act that could most easily defeat us.” – [The One Un-American Act, Speech to the Author’s Guild Council in New York, on receiving the 1951 Lauterbach Award (December 3, 1952)]” – William O. Douglas

To my thirty-eight friends especially those in Japan and France, I will continue to self-educate and as I do will share information and resources at cCc so we can become aware and learn about the various aspects of Climate Change together.

Black Lives Matter | “I look at an ant and l see myself: a native South African, endowed by nature with a strength much greater than my size so I might cope with the weight of a racism that crushes my spirit.” – Miriam Makeba

You might consider me a bit unconventional thinking this way, however I sense and think this Climate Emergency should be at the very top of the list in that we should move more attention to as a necessity and begin working on immediately in solidarity, otherwise we are in serious trouble. Violence is not the answer, working together for our children’s future is.

“The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation.” – Bertrand Russell

For those anxious to learn more about tackling this Climate Emergency I will work on writing an article on who to focus on in terms of educating yourself more about this Climate Emergency as it is crucial to focus on who is trustworthy as opposed not those catering to the fossil-fuel industry by pushing misleading information.
